  • A survey conducted by the Community Organizing Resources for Excellence (CORE) has found that over half the teenage students in the Douglas County School System have been absent from school six or more days. A link to the story is not available at this time due to the Sentinel having the wrong story linked.
  • Bernard Sutton was sentenced Monday on charges regarding “robbery and attempting to elude law enforcement” after hitting up the Wachovia Bank on Lee Road, receiving 25 years with 15 years in prison. (story)
  • The Taste of Douglasville will be on May 17 where public is invited to join in the fun of eatting local foods and buying crafts. Oddly enough registration for the event exclusively states that sales of any kind are prohibited. (story)
  • The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is now allowing the WSA to issue permits “to local industries for pretreatment of wastewater released into the sewage system.” (story)
